I love music and it's something I can't live without and honestly I don't think anyone can. Being a writer really has some perks to it and one of them is memorizing and remembering keen details about a person.

Education Celebration LogoThis assignment was based on the Education Celebration logo. I was assigned to create a logo using Photoshop. It indicates we can support the education that students have and to acknowledge their effort in school. I could have improved this assignment by including more details about my topic by making it interesting to attract students, teachers, administrators, and community members who are interested in planning the celebration of this significant occasion.

Basketball player in spaceOur teacher discussed with us on how we can improve our skills by using Photoshop. He gave us an image of a basketball team. We were all assigned to be creative and make it interesting. I decided to think outside the box and place the basketball image in space. I used particular tools to create this image, such as the magic wand tool, lasso tool, and rectangular marquee tool. To make it better I could have placed the ring of fire in a different location and to clarify a better understanding on why it was there.

"On February 13, Franklin had their yearly Valentine’s Day Dance. Many students showed up and had a great time. There was a DJ who played beat music, there were snacks, and a marriage booth. Many students danced on the dance floor and had fun. Mrs. Ovalle said, “My favorite part was the photo booth and that students can get married. Also that students enjoyed themselves dancing on the dance floor.” Mrs. Leonard explained, “I really enjoyed watching the students dancing and the music was amazing.” “My favorite part was that they made the Congo line, and that students were dancing in groups for the cha-cha slide, and cupid shuffle,” said Mrs. Greene. Ms. Cornelison said, “My favorite part of the dance is seeing all of the kids have fun. As teachers we only get to see you in class in an academic setting. At the dance, it's fun to interact with the students in a more informal way - lots of laughter and line dancing!” Ms. Pratt said,“ My favorite part of the Valentine's Day Dance was the photo/ marriage booth, and seeing all of the students dressed up instead of in uniform in their valentines day colors.” These were some moments that the teachers enjoyed at the Valentine’s Day Dance."

My objective was to write about the Valentines Day Dance. I talked to the teachers who were there to discuss with them their favorite moments. The Valentines Day Dance is a school social event where kids can enjoy themselves dancing and hanging out with friends.
